Before You Order — Check Your Door Frame

This product is available with two mounting systems: Q16A and Q16B. The correct option depends on both the usable frame depth and the width of the frame edge beside the glass.

Important: Do not choose Q16A or Q16B based only on the shade size. You must measure both the usable recess depth and the frame edge width beside the glass before ordering.

Q16A and Q16B are designed for different French door frame conditions. Measure your frame carefully before selecting an option.

Q16A

Best for wider frame edges and shallower recesses

Minimum Recess Depth 11 mm — approx. 7/16"
Minimum Frame Edge Width 13.2 mm — approx. 1/2"
Best Choice When Your door has a wider mounting edge but limited recess depth

Q16B

Best for narrow or tight frame edges

Minimum Recess Depth 19 mm — approx. 3/4"
Minimum Frame Edge Width 7 mm — approx. 1/4"
Best Choice When Your frame edge beside the glass is narrow, but sufficient depth is available
Quick Guide: Q16A requires less depth but more frame edge width. Q16B can fit a much narrower frame edge, but it requires a deeper recess.

What to Measure Before Ordering

French door installation requires more than just the glass width and height. Please measure all four items below before choosing Q16A or Q16B.

  1. Measure the required shade width. Available custom width: 8–39" (200–1000 mm).
  2. Measure the required shade height. Available custom height: 8–78" (200–2000 mm).
  3. Measure the usable recess depth between the mounting area and the glass.
  4. Measure the flat frame edge width available beside the glass.
  5. Choose Q16A if you have at least 11 mm depth and 13.2 mm frame edge width.
  6. Choose Q16B if you have at least 19 mm depth and 7 mm frame edge width.

Measure the Door Frame Before Choosing Q16A or Q16B

Available custom sizes are 8–39 inches wide and 8–78 inches high. For Q16A, your door frame must provide at least 11 mm recess depth and 13.2 mm frame edge width. For Q16B, your frame must provide at least 19 mm recess depth and 7 mm frame edge width. Please verify both measurements carefully before placing your order.
